Sweet Home Chicago

This week's Scalzi Photo Shoot:  What's my favorite thing about Chicago?

Only one possible answer:  my University of Chicago third-year son.  Looks like he's fully recovered from having had his wisdom teeth extracted, huh?  He's so glad to be back, in his single with his view of Lake Michigan, with good friends down the street, with a new job as an intramural sports supervisor, and with an actual declared major.  Life is good at 21.

He certainly looks happy to be back in Chicago.  Isn't wonderful when they're thriving and growing into the wonderful young adults you had hoped they would be?  Stacy

So grown up looking - hard to believe that he's old enough for "chin whiskers" already.    Life at 21 is good!

You ought to get a nice Bulls hat, like they wear in Cabrini Green.

That is a happy face.
Ya know that kind that makes you smile too.
How proud you must be!

Put a Smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Wishing you health, happiness and laughter.

What a great smile.  He reminds me a lot of my dh at that age.  The only difference is that my dh still did the combover throughout college--he cut it the day he graduated.  And he also compensated with the facial hair thing!

What a great pic! I was at U of C myself, a couple of light years ago, and my oldest did her undergraduate work there as well as ABT on a master's in social science, and her fiancee is finishing up his doctorate in philosophy there.  It's a wonderful university, and the campus is soooooooo beautiful.
