for myself on this week's walking. Oregon was beautiful -- cloudy in the mornings but mostly sunny, clear, and NOT HUMID in the afternoons. It's the same here now; very pleasant for walking.

Wednesday 08/03: Walked: 5.5 miles.
Tuesday 08/02: Walked: 2.5 miles.

What a beautiful rose! Was this from Portland's famous rose garden?
I'm sad to hear about your friend. He sounds like a character but someone whose absence will leave a hole in the community.
